Grande Skinny Who?

Hi! I’m Meg, your average twenty-something. I live, work, and play in Downtown Calgary. I love coffee, watching bad sci-fi with my boyfriend husband, laughing with my friends, drinking coffee, reading and writing very trashy fiction, keeping up with the local art and culture scene, and I’m 60 40  65 lbs overweight.

I started this blog in 2009 when I started Weight Watchers - and not for the first time. Three months later, I was down 15 lbs, felt like no one was noticing and that the weight wasn't coming off fast enough. I felt completely discouraged, so I quit. Of course, I gained all that weight back - and then some.

In May 2010, I stepped on the scale for the first time in over a year, and was shocked by the number I saw. I had never been heavier, and I had never been unhappier with the reflection in the mirror. I immediately signed up for Weight Watchers Online again, and am determined to reach my goal. I worked hard and lost about 30 lbs, which I chronicled here from 2010 - early 2012. I felt fantastic most of the time, frustrated some of the time, and truly fit and fabulous on occasion.

Then life got in the way. I bought a condo, got married, started a new job and put all the weight I'd lost back on. I stopped blogging, I stopped exercising, I stopped making myself a priority.

Now I'm back.

This is a day-to-day record of my highs, my lows, and the new things I try on my way down the scale.
